JAG participant earns ‘distinguished’ honor

Angel Johnson (Senior) won Distinguished Graduate for making it into the overall top 20 students at East Chicago Central High school. She has worked extremely hard in maintaining the grades that were required to meet this successful achievement. Every student that makes it into the top twenty are asked to nominate a teacher that will qualify to win the distinguished educator award. Angel has chosen Victoria Acevedo to be honored in winning this award. Angel has been apart of JAG for the full two years and has chosen to not only recognize Victoria, the JAG Specialist, but the JAG program overall. When she gave her speech she not only explained what the JAG program is but how JAG has motivated her towards life after high school. Victoria said, “It’s been nothing but a pleasurable experience having angel in our program!!”
