Michelle Ginder Announces Re-Election Campaign for NAWDP Board of Directors

Strong leadership matters — especially in a field as dynamic and impactful as workforce development. The National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP) plays a vital role in advancing workforce excellence nationwide through professional development, certification, advocacy, and collaboration. Its Board of Directors helps shape strategy, elevate professional standards, and ensure workforce practitioners have a strong national voice.

We’re proud to announce that Michelle Ginder, a longtime workforce leader and JobWorks employee, is officially running for re-election to the NAWDP Board of Directors, representing the state of Indiana.

Continuing Service with Proven Impact

Michelle currently serves on the NAWDP Board and brings more than 23 years of workforce development experience to her leadership role. Throughout her career, she has focused on building effective workforce systems through thoughtful program design, strong stakeholder partnerships, and aligning talent strategies with employer and community needs.

In addition to her board service, Michelle is the Chair of NAWDP’s Certification Committee, helping guide the ongoing development and integrity of the Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP) credential. Her leadership ensures certification remains relevant, accessible, and meaningful for professionals across the country.

Her continued board service reflects a deep commitment to strengthening the profession and supporting practitioners who work every day to connect people with opportunity.

A Vision Rooted in People and Equity

Michelle’s vision for workforce development is grounded in people-centered, future-focused, and equity-driven systems. She believes workforce organizations should remove barriers to employment, expand access to education and training, and support lifelong learning that leads to economic mobility.

Her passion lies in building systems that deliver meaningful outcomes for both individuals and employers — especially for populations historically underrepresented or underserved. By strengthening career pathways and improving access to opportunity, Michelle advocates for workforce solutions that create lasting community impact.

Why Re-Election Matters

Serving on the NAWDP Board has allowed Michelle to collaborate with peers nationwide, share best practices, and help influence national workforce strategy. She has seen firsthand how strong governance, collaboration, and professional standards directly improve outcomes for jobseekers, employers, and workforce professionals alike.

Michelle is seeking re-election to continue contributing to:

  • Elevating professional standards and recognition for workforce practitioners.

  • Expanding accessible, high-quality professional development opportunities.

  • Encouraging innovation and peer learning across the workforce ecosystem.

  • Amplifying practitioner voices in national policy and workforce conversations.

She also recognizes one of the profession’s greatest challenges today: workforce professionals are expected to be agile, data-driven, and employer-responsive, yet often lack sufficient investment in training, tools, and recognition. Michelle believes NAWDP can lead the way in closing that gap through strategic leadership and collaboration.

Proud to Support Leadership from JobWorks

Michelle’s leadership reflects the values JobWorks champions every day — equity, opportunity, innovation, and measurable impact. Her re-election campaign represents not just continuity, but momentum toward a stronger, more connected workforce profession nationwide.

As the election approaches, we celebrate Michelle’s dedication and the positive influence she continues to bring to NAWDP and the broader workforce community.
